        DAVID T. CLARK        


DAVID T. CLARK of St. Johnsbury, Caledonia County, Republican, was born in Kennebunk, Maine on May 13, 1922 and has been a resident of present town since September, 1960. Occupation: St. Johnsbury town manager (retired 1996). He was educated at elementary schools in Kennebunk, Maine; Kennebunk High School, Kennebunk, Maine; University of Maine, Orono, Maine (B.A., 1949); New York University, New York, New York (M.P.A., 1951). He is married to the former Joan Bulkeley, and they have two daughters and three sons. Member of: St Johnsbury Rotary Club; Passumpsic Bank, corporator; VFW; Vermont Town and City Manager's Association. He served three years in the infantry in WW II and received an honorable discharge. As town manager in St Johnsbury for thirty-six years, he served on many boards and committees. Religious preference: Protestant. Home phone: 748-3208.         JOSEPH M. SHERMAN       


       

JOSEPH M. SHERMAN of St. Johnsbury, Caledonia County, Republican, was born in Brattleboro, Vermont on May 13, 1926 and became resident of present town in May, 1962. Occupation: retired banker. He was educated in elementary schools in Brattleboro, Vermont and graduated from Vermont Academy, Saxtons River, Vermont. He is married to Catherine Crosby, and they have one daughter and two sons. Member of: VFW Post #793; St. Johnsbury Lodge of Elks #1343; St. Johnsbury Rotary Club; Citizens Savings Bank & Trust, director; St. Johnsbury Development Fund; Economic Fund of Northern Vermont; Town grand juror and trustee of public funds. He served in the U.S. Navy from September, 1944 to May, 1946. Member of the Senate: 1989-90, 1991-92. Member of the House: 1997-98. Religious preference: Protestant.
