The Secretary of State's Office is managed jointly by the Secretary of State, the
Deputy, and the Director of Professional Regulation. When only one of the three is
present, that person is in charge of, and is responsible for, the entire office.
For budgeting purposes, our office is divided into four
divisions:
- Administration and Elections
- Archives
- Business Registry
- Professional Regulation
Functionally speaking, two of these divisions are further divided:
- Administration and Elections is functionally subdivided into
- Administration (including business and personnel), supervised by the Deputy Secretary
- Elections Division, supervised by the Elections Director
- Information Technology unit, supervised by the Deputy Secretary
- Professional Regulation is functionally subdivided into
- Four licensing units, each supervised by a Licensing Unit Administrator
- An investigative unit, supervised by the Chief Investigator.
