        SALLY G. FOX        


SALLY G. FOX of Essex, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born in Omaha, Nebraska on January 30, 1951 and became a resident of present town in 1982. Occupation: attorney. She was educated in elementary schools in Omaha, Nebraska; Omaha Central High, Omaha, Nebraska; University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin (B.A., 1972); State University of New York Law School (J.D., 1975). She is married to Michael Sirotkin, and they have two sons. Member of: Vermont Bar Association; Essex Democratic committee; Chittenden County Democratic committee; justice of the peace; Victim Services Advisory Committee 2000; Governor's Higher Education Funding Commission; Joint Fiscal Committee; Judicial Retention Committee; Council of State Governments ERC Executive Committee.         GENE G. SWEETSER       


       

GENE G. SWEETSER of Essex, Chittenden County, Republican, was born in Burlington, Vermont on April 24, 1948 and became a resident of present town in 1986. He is employed by IBM. He was educated in elementary schools in Worcester, Vermont and graduated from St. Johnsbury Trade School, St. Johnsbury, Vermont. He attended Johnson State College, Johnson, Vermont (B.A., Environmental Studies, 1978); St. Michael's College, Colchester, Vermont (M.A., Administration, 1993). He has two daughters. He is president of Survivors of Crime, Inc., selected as the 754th Point of Light by President George Bush. He is currently a justice of the peace; Essex Board of Civil Authority member and a member of the Vermont Army National Guard, HHB 1/86 FA Battalion in Williston, Vermont. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969-71. Member of: United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America, Local 417, vice-president; Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission, vice-president; Worcester Planning Commission, chair; Worcester Volunteer Fire Department.
