KAREN K. STEELE of Waterbury, Washington County, Republican, was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on September 26, 1942 and became a resident of present town in April, 1966. Occupation: owner and manager of Butler Apartments, Housing for the Elderly. She was educated in elementary schools in Dartmouth, Massachusetts; Mary A. Burnham School for Girls, Northampton, Massachusetts; University of Vermont (B.A., 1964). She is married to Edward E. Steele, and they have one son and one daughter. VAL D. VINCENT of Waterbury, Washington County, Democrat, was born in Middlebury, Vermont on June 15, 1948. She has lived in Waterbury Center since 1978. Occupation: former teacher and small business owner. She is married to John W. Vincent, and they have four adult daughters. She attended elementary and high school in Granville, New York; Castleton State College, Castleton, Vermont (B.A., 1975).
