ALAN H. WEISS of Northfield, Washington County, Democrat, was born in New York City on February 8, 1924. He became a resident of Vermont in 1953. Occupation: president of Weiss Associates, a management/education consulting services organization. He is a graduate of Montclair University, N.J. (B.A.); Teachers College, Columbia University (M.A.). He formerly served as executive director of the Association of Vermont Independent Colleges; Norwich University, director, continuing education; Vermont Department of Education, deputy commissioner; Superintendent of Schools, Montpelier and Ludlow. He is a former staff assistant to Congressman Peter Smith and has been appointed by Governors Dean, Snelling, Salmon and Davis to a variety of posts. He has three sons, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
