Clerk’s Advisory Board Meeting

The Office of the Secretary of State will be holding a Clerks’ Advisory Board Meeting on, Thursday, June 10, 1999 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Redstone Building, 26 Terrace Street in Montpelier. The Clerks’ Advisory Board will be discussing ways in which the Secretary of State’s Office can be more responsive to the needs of the clerks. Secretary of State programs and proposed legislation will also be discussed. The advisory board members include:

Educational Forum On Vermont’s Campaign Finance Law

The Office of the Secretary of State will offer an educational forum on Vermont’s campaign finance law. The forum will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 PM on Tuesday, June 15 at the Pavilion Building auditorium in Montpelier at 109 State Street. All legislators, Political Action Committees (PAC), candidates, political parties and others interested are invited to attend.

The purpose of this forum is to educate candidates, PAC’s and political parties about the requirements of Vermont’s campaign finance law.

Secretary of State Deborah L. Markowitz will provide an overview of the new law and will moderate the session.

Deputy David L. Grayck from the Office of the Secretary of State and Michael McShane from the Office of the Attorney General will present key points of the new campaign finance law and take questions from the audience.
