The administrative offices of the Vermont Secretary of State are located in this lovely old mansion on a hill near the State House in Montpelier. Our other divisions are split between Redstone and Heritage I, another office building in Montpelier.

• Our administrative offices are at Redstone, 26 Terrace Street, Montpelier. You may use this for a United Parcel Service, Federal Express, or similar delivery address.

  To reach Redstone by car after leaving the Interstate at the Montpelier exit, turn left on Bailey Avenue at the second stop light, by the Vermont State Employees Credit Union, then proceed straight across State Street and up the hill. Bear left onto Terrace Street, proceed to the top of the hill and look for the sign on the left.

  Here you will find:

  • The offices of the Secretary of State, the Deputy Secretary, and the Director of Professional Regulation.
  • Our business office and our computer operations.
  • Our Elections Division.
  • Our State Archives.
  • Most divisions of our Office of Professional Regulation.
• The remainder of our offices are in the Heritage I Building at 81 River Street, Montpelier. You may use this for a United Parcel Service, Federal Express, or similar delivery address.

  To reach Heritage by car after leaving the Interstate at the Montpelier exit, proceed straight along River Street through five stoplights and look for a sign on the right. We are opposite Vermont Tire. Drive to the upper parking lot behind the building to reach our entrance.

  Here you will find:

  • Our Corporations Division.
  • The Office of Professional Regulation divisions supporting several professional licensing boards, including the Nursing Board and the Real Estate Commission.
• The Vermont Board of Medical Practice, located at 1 Prospect Street, Montpelier, licenses and regulates medical doctors, physician's assistants, and podiatrists in Vermont. The board is independent of the Office of the Secretary of State. It's Web site is located at http://www.docboard.org/vt/vermont.htm and its mail address is 109 State Street, Montpelier, VT 05609-1106.
