ANDREW J. SNYDER of Pittsford, Rutland County, Democrat, was born in New York, New York on June 24, 1951 and became a resident of present town in 1972. Occupation: farmer, owner of Fire Hill Farm (specialty foods by mail). ROBERT H. WOOD, JR. of Brandon, Rutland County, Republican, was born in Rutland, Vermont on April 7, 1931. Occupation: self-employed farmer and builder. He was educated in elementary schools and high school in Brandon, Vermont; University of Vermont (1960, cum laude). He is married to the former Sally Gowdy, and they have one daughter and one son.
