    ANDREW J. SNYDER     


ANDREW J. SNYDER of Pittsford, Rutland County, Democrat, was born in New York, New York on June 24, 1951 and became a resident of present town in 1972. Occupation: farmer, owner of Fire Hill Farm (specialty foods by mail). He was educated in elementary schools in New York, New York; Seward Park High School, New York, New York; Adelphi University, Garden City, New York (B.A. in English 1972); Bread Loaf School (Middlebury College), Middlebury, Vermont (1972); University of Vermont, Burlington, Vermont (1975). He is married to the former Christine Anderson, and they have one son, Ethan. Member of: Crossroads Arts Council, board of directors; Northeast Organic Farmers Association; Governor Kunin's Agricultural Advisory Board; Designated "Vermont Hero" by Vermont Life Magazine, winter 1994; Vermont Institute of Natural Science. ROBERT H. WOOD, JR. of Brandon, Rutland County, Republican, was born in Rutland, Vermont on April 7, 1931. Occupation: self-employed farmer and builder. He was educated in elementary schools and high school in Brandon, Vermont; University of Vermont (1960, cum laude). He is married to the former Sally Gowdy, and they have one daughter and one son. Member of: Alpha Zeta Ag fraternity at UVM; Brandon Town School Board for six years, chair for three years; Otter Valley Union High School Board for twenty years, chair for nine years; Brandon Zoning Board; Vermont Small Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association, founding member and president; First Brandon National Bank, director; UVM trustee; Vermont ETV, board of directors.
