Town Meeting Day Voter Registration DEADLINE

Town Meeting Day is Tuesday, March 2, 1999. The deadline for voter registration for Town Meeting is this Saturday, February 20th. The Town Clerk's office will be open from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for voter registration on Saturday. You can also mail an application at the Department of Motor Vehicles or at any voter registration agency on or before Saturday, February 20 and it will be considered timely.

Make a difference in your community and go to Town Meeting.

Clerk's Advisory Board Meeting

The Office of the Secretary of State will be holding its first Clerk's Advisory Board Meeting on Wednesday, February 24, 1999 from 12 - 2 PM at the Heritage Building, 81 River Street in Montpelier. The Clerk's Advisory Board will be discussing ways in which the Secretary of State's Office can be more responsive to the needs of the clerks. Pending legislation will also be discussed. Task Force on Ethics

The Office of the Secretary of State will be holding its first Task Force on Ethics on Wednesday, February 24, 1999 from 4 - 5 PM at the Secretary of State's Office in Redstone Building, 26 Terrace Street, Montpelier. The Task Force on Ethics will be meeting to develop and consider conflict of interest guidelines for local officials and possible legislation to enable communities to prevent ethical problems in their towns.
