        MICHAEL C. VINTON        


MICHAEL C. VINTON of Colchester, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born in Newport, Vermont on November 26, 1942 and became a resident of Colchester in February, 1988. Occupation: Retired Lieutenant, Vermont State Police. He was educated in elementary schools in Derby, Vermont; Derby Academy, Derby, Vermont. He graduated from the Vermont State Police Academy in 1966; attended Norwich University, Division of Continuing Education, majoring in criminal justice; graduated from the Keeler Polygraph Institute, Chicago, Illinois (1970); graduate of the New England State Police Command Staff College, Babson College, 1979; graduate of the F.B.I. National Police Academy, Quantico, Virginia in 1982. He is married to Marjorie F. Vinton, and they have one daughter and one son. Past member of the board of directors and present councilor of Camp-Ta-Kum-Ta, a summer camp for children with cancer; past president and member of the board of directors of Harwood Youth Hockey; Blush Hill Country Club, past member of the board of directors and president. State of Vermont boating law administrator, 1985-93. Member of the United States Coast Guard Boating Safety Advisory Council, 1989-93. Member of the Governor's Snowmobile Advisory Council, 1987-93. Assistant to the Sergeant at Arms, Vermont State House, 1995-96. Justice of the peace, Colchester. Member of the House: 1997-98. Religious preference: Christian. Home phone: 655-1396.         CAROLYN ANN YARNELL        


       

CAROLYN ANN YARNELL of Colchester, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born in Burlington, Vermont on July 31, 1944 and became a resident of present town in September, 1981. Occupation: homemaker. She was educated in elementary schools in Burlington; Rice Memorial High School, South Burlington; University of Vermont, Burlington (B.S., 1966); taught English at the junior-senior high school level for five years. She is married to David Yarnell, and they have one son and two daughters. Member of: Colchester Recreation Board; Colchester Board of Civil Authority; Justice of the Peace; Citizens' Advisory Committee on Lake Champlain's Future.
