RUTH H. TOWNE of Berlin, Washington County, Republican, was born in Manchester, Connecticut on June 17, 1928 and became a resident of present town in April, 1950. Occupation: dairy farmer, Morgan Horse breeder. She was educated in elementary schools in East Hartford, Connecticut; East Hartford High School; University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut (B.S., 1949). She is the widow of Roderick E. Towne, and they have two sons. ORESTE V. VALSANGIACOMO, SR. of Barre City, Washington County, Democrat, was born in Barre, Vermont on October 31, 1919. Occupation: former owner of real estate and general insurance agency.
