RUTH H. TOWNE of Berlin, Washington County, Republican, was born in Manchester, Connecticut on June 17, 1928 and became a resident of present town in April, 1950. Occupation: dairy farmer, Morgan Horse breeder. She was educated in elementary schools in East Hartford, Connecticut; East Hartford High School; University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut (B.S., 1949). She is the widow of Roderick E. Towne, and they have two sons.
