Title:
First Division Lots, Ludlow. An enlarged copy of the plan on page 35 Book of Proprietor's Records of Ludlow, Vt. These are the so-called "first division" lots. A second, third, etc. division westwardly from these lots followed later. These lots were evidently intended to be about 195 acres excepting 74, 75 and 76. Mt. Holly was made from Jackson's Gore and the western portion of Ludlow, the S.E. corner of which became part of Chester. (surveyed by Phineas Bradley, Connecticut SS, of New Haven July 17, 1776). Sept. 3, 1784 within plan to record, attest: Josiah Fletcher, Proprietors Clerk. Drawn Sept. 14, 1965 by J.W. Batchelder, Reg. Professional Engineer, registration no. 437. A true plan of the Town of Ludlow by Phineas Bradley, Surveyor, Connecticut SS New Haven, July 17th 1776.
