Welcome to VT Re·tain (Beta)
VT Re·tain is the digital repository for State of Vermont digital archival public records and its name reflects the commitment of the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration to assure that all archival public records, regardless of format, are preserved and accessible to current and future generations.
This site is currently under development, so not all features are available yet. Please check back for updates, or contact VSARA below if you have questions or comments.
Records in VT Re·tain
Documenting the rights of citizens, the decisions of government, and the history of Vermont in 1777 to the present, records in VT Re·tain are almost exclusively from the executive, legislative and judicial branches of Vermont state government although earlier records may include those from counties, municipalities, and, on occasion, individuals with ties to state government.
